VirusBusters

The University of Michigan Virus Busters are a group of Information Technology Central Services staff members at the University of Michigan (U-M). They are dedicated to assisting the U-M community with the control and prevention of computer viruses.

The Information Technology (IT) User Advocate unit is dedicated to the responsible use of computing at U-M. We work within the University of Michigan community to ensure that U-M information technology policies and guidelines are followed.

ITSS - Information Technology Security Services

The Information Technology Security Services (ITSS) Office, which was created in 2004, collaborates with individual University of Michigan units to develop a University-wide security strategy and to implement best practice security efforts. Other primary ITSS activities include: Facilitating campus-wide incident response activities; Providing services such as security assessments and consultation, network scans, education and training; Managing IT security issues at the University level.

BAYU

BAYU (Be Aware You're Uploading) is a University of Michigan service implemented to help users avoid unwittingly uploading, to promote the lawful uploading of files, and to help people who use peer-to-peer (P2P) technology be mindful of the risks associated with using this technology.
